The first volume contains four of these Eleven Pieces for Violin and Piano by Bridge.

The holograph of Gargoyle Bridge's last piano work and one of his most adventurous is part of a large collection of his manuscripts housed in the Parry Room Library of the Royal College of Music.

Although Bridge wrote 39 of his 60 songs between 1901 and 1908 when still in his twenties only a handful were published at the time. This anthology contains five of these early songs including Tears Idle Tears and Night lies On The Silent Highways.

Adapted by Paul Hindmarsh for one piano four hands from the ballet In The Shop. The style of the music lies somewhere between Bridge's early salon style and his more piquant and colourful later works.

The first two sets (each of three pieces) of Miniature Pastorals were written in 1917 and 1921. The pieces which form the third set were also written in 1921 but remained unpublished until 1978. This edition presents all three sets together. Between them the nine pieces represent a simplification of Bridge's later style and are sure to be enjoyed by both Pianists and audiences.
