Ob-Lah-Di, Ob-Lah-Da by Lennon & McCartney has always sounded like a polka to me. So, for laughs I scored it in the style of the Polka King Frankie Yankovic. Surprisingly, the band enjoyed playing this tongue in cheek style. Scored for AATT (all doubling clarinets) plus 6 brass, accordion, string bass and drums. It is also playable by a smaller band (3 sax, 3 brass, 3 rhythm. .

Here, There & Everywhere - one of the many excellent ballads by Lennon-McCartney, is scored for 5 saxes (AATTB) 8 brass, 3 rhythm. A solo trumpet opens the chart followed by a nice full sax section. The second chorus begins with a 16 bar piano solo and the chart closes with a full ensemble. I played this on many big band dance gigs and the audience always loved it. .

It was the seventh single release by John Lennon outside his work with the Beatles. 

Note by arranger Johan Verhey: The moment I write these words (2023) once again shows the need for reflection. The hope of all people after the end of the cold war that things would get better from now on has turned out to be pure irony.

This arrangement is written for Big Band (five saxes, four trumpets, four trombones, and rhythm section).
There is an interesting polyphonic soli section, accompanied by a fun drum solo.  Following this soli section there is an opportunity for improvised solos.
The guitar part carries the melody in the intro, and again in the ending.
