“Tantum Ergo� by Joseph Haydn

Joseph Haydn, the renowned Austrian composer of the Classical period, crafted a beautiful setting for the sacred Latin hymn “Tantum Ergo�. This hymn, attributed to Saint Thomas Aquinas, holds deep significance in the history of the Catholic Church.

The original pitches remain the same for this piece by Josquin. However, to assist those who cannot speak French and only English, I translated the French text into English so that the translation fits in well with the original French text. This translation with music helps choirs in general by not having students put in too much work to remember the pronunciation of a language they cannot speak or know to a decent degree. 

Depending on how fast the choir wishes to sing (relative to the tempo markings for the piece), this work should take about two minutes long to sing.
