Hello!
This is my composition named Just Having Fun. It was writen for standard jazz band (Drum, electric guitar, bass guitar, piano), and small brass band (Tenor Sax, Alto Sax, Trumpet, Trombone).

Now the idea of this piece is short challenge for musician in different levels, everyone can enjoy. Featuring brass tutti, high note on trumpet, Snarky puppy feels, gospel solos and mysterious feel solos. Feel free to repeate some solo sections to play on different instruments if you want. :)

I don't put any midi demo here because I want you to explore the music by yourself, I see no point of listening to contemporary composition on midi. But I understand that some of you may be upset, and for that I appologize

This one is HOT on the internet! It can be used with or without horns or synth. I mean, The Ting Tings are just two people so there really isn't much to the song. I call it intermediate in difficulty only because horn players are in difficult keys. I disagree with the lyrics listed on the internet in some spots. Because they're hard to hear in the original, mine are every bit as valid as the lyrics sites.

The May 17, 1963, issue of Life Magazine featured a photo essay of appalling images taken by the American photographer Charles Moore. The opening paragraph bluntly stated that The pictures on these 11 pages are frightening. They are frightening because of the brutal methods being used by white policemen in Birmingham, Alabama, against Negro demonstrators . . . And they are especially frightening because the gulf between black and white is here visibly deepened. Known as the Birmingham campaign, Moore’s photographs of this senseless brutality sent shockwaves throughout the country and the world of the deeply embedded social and institutional racism and segregation of the South. On May 2, 1963, under direct orders from Birmingham’s then Commissioner of Public Safety, Eugene Bull Connor, all African Americans participating in a nonviolent demonstration organized by the Southern Christian Leadership Conference were to be subdued with high-pressure water blasts from fire hoses and violently attacked and taunted by police dogs. After seeing Moore’s photos in Life, Andy Warhol created a series of Race Riot paintings using a terrifying image of Moore’s of a man being attacked by a German shepherd in his trademark acrylic and silkscreen process. Interestingly, the title Race Riot is a contradiction because it was in fact a peaceful protest interrupted by the violence of the police. There is a menacing quality to the music that I hope conveys both Moore’s original photo and Warhol’s appropriation.

This is my second original composition. It has a Tom Kennedy-Mezzoforte fusion type feel. I wrote this a month ago, with total of three drafts. Writing a piece of music is like writing a screenplay. 

Very first draft had a motif to build the tutti section upon, a whole different melody, consisting of basically a complex melody, and the chord progression was two times faster. I wasn't happy with the direction, so I decided to slow down the chord progression, write a completely new melody, and only then I had the structure planned out. 

I named Episode, because my neighbor at the dorm, who is a classical pianist, said that this idea sounds like an episode (musical form). I am not sure if it reflects any understanding of said form, but I will say this. This is definitely an episode of pure passion. 

This package includes the score, parts: both transposed (Eb and Bb) and concert pitch, and the audio demo of how it should sound like.

This is my first original composition, written in late summer 2023. Would you believe me if I told you I wrote this in a single day? Probably not! XD.
I was experimenting with chords, and everything just sort of clicked. Then came the melody.  I called it Contrast, because, in my honest opinion, I used both bright sounding and dark sounding chords in jazz. 

This package includes the score, the parts: both transposed (Eb and Bb) and concert pitch, and the audio demo of how it should sound. So if you're interested in buying and playing this piece of music, by all means, go for it!

How can your trombone quartet gain more audience?

By playing with other people. You want your concerts to be well visited and to help you with that, I make arrangements (and compositions) for trombonequartet with guitar, piano, bass and drums. They also contain an optional bass-trombone/ tuba part and sometimes a solo part. This one contains a trombone solo part.

This arrangement of A Whole New World, is scored for Solo Trombone in front of the ensemble mentioned above.  There are two solo parts in the set. One high and and one low. You can combine those two if that makes you more comfortable. Durata: 3,5 minutes (approx.)

The song itself is about Alladin taking Jasmine on a ride on the magic carpet. The lyrics are all about discovering what you didn’t know about and be grateful for all the adventures life gives. This makes it a perfect piece to play in a variety of places, like weddings, celebrations of any kind, graduations, not to mention many types of concerts.

With a few adjustments you can also use parts of this arrangement and make it work. It’s most powerful when you use the whole band, but it still makes a lot of sense if you have to skip some of the parts. There are so many times I have had to skip a piece in a concert, using a not as good substitute, because we didn’t have the people to play it. In this series I have made it easier to still be able to play it, even if you don’t manage to cover every part. Check it out and you’ll understand.
