Inside you will find thirty-two songs appropriate for Reform Shabbat services, life cycle events and holidays. There are a wide variety of styles, from the exuberance of Hal’lu and Shiru Shir Chadash to the introspection of V’tahier Libeinu, from the simplicity of Every Blade of Grass to the drama of Or Zarua, from the childlike joy of Hava Nashira to the mature searching of Karov Adonai.
This songbook is divided into two parts. The songs in the first part can be easily learned and be done with congregations. The second part has songs that are more soloistic in nature, though there are a few your congregation may want to join in on!
The songs with asterisks by them in the index are also available in expanded versions for choir, cantor and piano.
