Choral Choir (SA) - Level 3 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.1029846

Composed by Veniamin Blokh. Praise & Worship,Romantic Period,Sacred. Octavo. 7 pages. Veniamin Blokh #5753547. Published by Veniamin Blokh (A0.1029846).

A song for choir and piano written on a reflection of the situation with the COVID-19 in the world.

Words by Carolyn Winfrey Gillette:

When we face an unknown future that we can't imagine yet,
when the closeness we have treasured turns from blessing into threat -
As we miss our friends and loved ones, as we crave community,
may we look, God, in this season, for a whole new way to be.

Jesus faced the lonely desert as a time to look within.
There he met such trial and conflict; there he knew you were with him.
In this time of separation when we miss the life we've known,
may we hear your voice proclaiming: I am here! You're not alone.

May we cherish those around us as we never have before.
May we think much less of profit; may we learn what matters more.
May we hear our neighbors' suffering; may we see our neighbors' pain.
May we learn new ways of offering life and health and hope again.

God, when illness comes to threaten, and when so much here goes wrong,
may we know this thing for certain - that your love is sure and strong.
You're beside us in our suffering - and when times are surely tough,
we may face an unknown future, but it's filled, Lord, with your love.

SKU: MQ.8226-E

Composed by Gwyneth W. Walker. Secular, 21st century. Instrument part. 18 pages. Duration 4 minutes, 30 seconds. E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital #8226-E. Published by E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital (MQ.8226-E).

English.

A very poignant song. Phrases such as Hush little baby, don’t you cry, you know your mama was born to die, or Oh my brothers, I must leave you here behind, view the approach of death in terms of those left behind.

The accompaniment of repeated 8th-note chords is marked as if trembling or sobbing. Although the harmonic language is tonal and consonant almost entirely throughout the song, a few dissonances appear near the end, reflecting the pain of parting. Duration: 4:30.

First: Yes, I know there's supposed to be an umlaut. It's a pain to track down on an English system, and the software didn't produce the umlaut A the way it was supposed to. Use your imagination. If you've ever been to the Munich (Munchen, auch mit umlaut) Oktoberfest, this song is everywhere (as it is with most Oktoberfest celebrations everywhere). But it's always a part of the program at the Munich Hofbrauhaus.

The song was written in Berlin in 1935. Wilhelm Wiga Gabriel wrote other songs as well, mostly for the Nazis. So he's pretty much written out of history and the rest of his work appropriately relegated to the dustbin of the ages.

SKU: A0.958123

Composed by Adam Judd. Christian,Gospel,Sacred. Octavo. 8 pages. Adam Judd #3129737. Published by Adam Judd (A0.958123).

The Goodness of the Lord grew out of the striking statement of faith found in Psalms 27: 13. While much of the psalm indicates that its author was dealing with some serious life issues, in this verse the psalmist affirms a trust in the Lord’s help: not salvation for the next life, but rescue and shelter within the present lifetime. This piece attempts to portray such trust in God during times of struggle and pain.

At least two soloists are necessary, but the solo parts may be divided among more singers if desired to suit your ensemble. The piece may be performed successfully using only chorus, soloists, and piano; however, there is also an orchestration available (S0.249231) for trumpet, tenor sax, guitar, and upright bass. Be warned that the tenor sax part is advanced-but someone who regularly handles musical theater woodwind books should have no problem. Including a drum set is recommended if you have someone who can find his or her way through the piece and enhance its gospel flavor; there is no written drum set chart, because the person you would want to play this piece with you won’t need it.

Enjoy!

THE LAST MY FLOWER (the wolf and the witch)

I look at my last flower

It loses its scentand I do not know what to do

I protect you with warmthof this other story I have to tell

creatures alone and desperate

many scars heal

a witch and a wolf

do not know yet

that their destinies are to merge

and starts this magical storysweet

as ancient fable

in a forest with no place and no age

out of touch

and the time is stopped and does not move a breath

and the heart, explodes and skip a beat

and look you recognize

like not having never lost

and the wolf that is injured

a white rose in red has turned

He is bleeding along with drops of pain

his red eyes burning with love

and the witch instead hides

because she isn't beautiful and it is not important

nobody in the world has never belonged

and a caress he never touched

she care and caresses the soul

he looks at her and his anger dominates

and one year only lasts a moment

lost in eternity

and the wolf tells tales

and the witch makes magic potions

and exchange promises useless

that the night  guard

and she will dance

will dance naked

and the wolf with his heart on his

sleevelying by the fire that lights up,

so free

unobstructed

and are reflected in the magic lake

and do not feel that cold shiver...

not last, do not you feel it too?cold around  us

Abracadabra !! from caterpillar to butterfly

Alakazam !! and I too am beautiful

do not you wonder how and why

I started to talk to me

snow fallsbut we are in August

and there is nothing

that you find a place

this my music speaks for it self

this is the strangest tale that is

I stop here

It will end well

I can not tell

the end of a love

that is not written yet

I stop here

It will end well

in a vacuum and the absence

these days my

silence and inconstancy in your feeling

sthe flower dies already

go wolf go

stop thinking about her

from your pack you will need to return

and then runs away

witch will

if you want to transform

changes role

an actress who artand

you will have new flowers

day step into the dark caverns of regret

Mix them with potions and transform everything into tears

like a cat in the night

I try the food

in the trashno sun,

no light

no god here that help me

body and spirit dentedas

a glass stuckinside

my poor heart

the memory of a love

He never really lived

so alive in the mind

is my animal instinct

that makes me ache

while another dream diesthe

witch in the lake you slidethe

water lapping against the planin

his eyes the wolf that is now already far

a fairy tale real or invented

in between  my  hidden  truth

all my stories strange and weird

over this skin are now tattooed

Lyricist Cheryl Prazak blends eclectic and nostalgic lyric themes with lively renditions of traditional tunes in her new release “Hearts Aflame.â€
Working with arranger/producer Jon Burr of

The album title and song Hearts Aflame were inspired by the 2023 Asbury Revival at Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky.

Bounteous River of Mercy

Bounteous river, river of mercy,
Flowed from your life’s blood, flowed fast away.
Streams never ceasing since in the Garden,
Streams of the Lamb’s blood, unto this day.

Rivers of crimson, washing as pure snow,
Ribbons of crimson, spilled by God’s Lamb.
Abraham offered up the chosen son,
But as a ransom, God sent a ram.

I offered my sin, You sent a Savior;
I offered my pain, You sent your Son.
I offered my guilt, You spilled your life’s blood;
You gave me hope when I deserved none.

First Fruit of Heaven, returned to the Father;
First Fruit of Heaven, rending the veil.
Life lies before me, death is behind me;
Living in your Light, death can’t assail.

Darkness is gone now, You are my sunshine;
Raised in your likeness, I walk in Light.
You are my High Priest, e’er pleading for me;
You are my Counsel, setting things right.

In Jesus’ blood now, is life everlasting;
In life’s death shadow, there is no fear.
Walking in your Light, calmness surrounds me;
Lord of creation, my heart’s desire.

Composed by Carol Troutman Wiggins [ASCAP], Mary White Pustrom. Christmas,Contemporary,Holiday,Pop,Singer/Songwriter. Octavo. 11 pages. Carol Troutman Wiggins #2907289. Published by Carol Troutman Wiggins (A0.727123).

The Christmas Wish
Vocal Solo for Alto
Would you like a different kind of Christmas wish this year? Here it is!
This song is based on the poem Christmas Wishes written by contemporary author and poet Mary White Pustrom. Mary wrote many poems with the theme of Christmas, including what she thought people should wish for at Christmas. While so many adults wish for a new car, a sparkling diamond ring, or celebrating with a nice vacation in the tropics, she believes that Christmas wishes should be taken a step further by considering the wishes and needs of others more so than our own. In her poem Christmas Wishes, her desire for reaching out to others and granting them their wishes for the simple things in life take on great meaning:

Christmas Wishes

by Mary White Pustrom

Now that Christmas is drawing near I cannot help but see

All the poor and needy people who are reaching out to me.

It seems that everywhere I look there is a need to fill;

I feel so inadequate when their wishes I can't fill.

Among the lights and decorations, there is hunger and despair,

Faces filled with sadness while bright carols fill the air;

Little children who are cold and hungry wait for Santa Claus,

Wishing that he would bring them food, for that's a worthy cause.

 Others laughing, smiling, singing - so completely unaware

Of all the pain and suffering that's around them everywhere;

They wish for generosity in our thoughts, time, and deeds,

And wish that here at Christmas time, someone could fill their needs.

My wish is that we reach out to our sisters and our brothers,

Who depend on us for kindness from one to another;

Fill our hearts with Christmas cheer, and teach us how to share,

So that Christmas wishes will be fulfilled all throughout the year.

It sounds like she might have the right idea. At this time of year, it is so easy to get caught up in buying and receiving presents, the lights, and the Christmas tree, without considering the simple needs of others. Maybe this year, these simple wishes will come true for some:

·        Sick little children to be healed

·        Homeless people and children to find a family

·        For the less fortunate to have enough food, clothing, shelter, and shoes on their feet

·        That no one spends Christmas lonely and alone, and spent the way it should be, with loving family and friends.

 Most of all, wish that by caring for one another, Christmas wishes would come true all year long.

SKU: IZ.CBS158-S

Composed by Britt Burns. Score. 16 pages. Duration 7 minutes, 35 seconds. Imagine Music - Digital #CBS158-S. Published by Imagine Music - Digital (IZ.CBS158-S).

9 x 12 in inches.

Distance was composed in early 2009 (and later revised in 2011) when I was feeling very homesick. The title was
inspired by the big change that comes when one relocates 1,000 miles away from familiar territory to begin a new life.
Although this kind of event is very exciting, it also can create pain from the absence of friends and family. The music is
intended to sound bittersweet in nature because it's meant to reflect both of these things.
I don't usually try to write in a specific form, as I feel that can hurt the natural flow of how the music wants to develop.
However, this piece is indeed in anABAform. Almost all of the thematic material in the piece is written in a major key,
but with the goal of sounding a little sad. While writing this, I was heavily influenced by the music of Ennio Morricone
and Dan Forrest. There is a short motive used in the B section of the piece that is similar to a motive used in various
film themes. Since I associate this motive with Morricone, and because he is one of my all time favorite composers, I
decided to dedicate this piece to him.
