Description Paul McCartney gets back to his rock'n'roll roots with this exceptional album of cover versions (and a few new songs). This is a project that McCartney had been considering for a long time, as his inspiration as a child was rock'n'roll, and it was rock'n'roll that was responsible for Paul's picking up a guitar. In March 1999, Paul was finally able to get together a small group of some of the best rock musicians in the country (including David Gilmour (Pink Floyd) on guitar and Ian Paice (Deep Purple) on drums) and spent a week non-stop recreating the rock'n'roll sound, only with a new element that was all the band's own.
