This introduction has been written for primary school children who have not previously studied another instrument. It is suitable for groubs as well as for individuals.Every new note is colour contrasted, thus ensuring easy recognition. Relaxed by illustrations the school precedes in small steps. Exercises such as writing music, transposing, and playing echoes can be added if the child's progress allows for it. Most of the musical pieces and songs in the book are either traditional or well-known pieces by composers of the Baroque, Classical and Romantic periods.Duets are included here and there to give the children anopportunity to practise playing together early on. / Hautbois
