Rolf Wallin's Realismos Mágicos for solo Marimba.This work was co-commissioned by the Bergen International Festival Sound Festival Scotland and the Wigmore Hall London with support fromAndré Hoffman president of the Fondation Hoffmann a Swiss grant-making foundation.The world premiere took place on 7 April 2014 at the Wigmore Hall London performed by Colin Currie.The titles of RealismosMágicos' 11 movements are taken from short stories by Gabriel Garc a Márquez. These movements can also be performed as free-standing pieces.
