Carcassi published a progressive method for learning the guitar Op.59 and also published the Melodious And Progressive Studies Op.60 which were probably intended to be used in conjunction with his method. From his method important details of performance practice particularly execution of ornaments have been incorporated into this edition of the Carcassi studies.This edition provides an accurate realisation of the composer's original manuscripts with right and left-hand fingering added for clarification.
