With words by Oliver Wendell Holmes commissioned for the National Peace Jubilee held in Boston in 1869 and original uplifting music this work speaks to a nation's desire for healing and reconciliation. Though alluding to Christmas in the final stanza the work is excellent for ecumenical patriotic and community performances.
