May The Road Rise To Meet You is based upon an old Irish blessing whose author is to this day unknown. This particular piece was commissioned by the New Orleans Children's Chorus to be sung at the end of its concerts. May The Road Rise To Meet You is written for Two-Part Treble Voices and SATB because the organisation encompasses children of a wide variety of ages so piece was needed that would allow treble voices and SATB Choir to sing together.
