The shepherds sing is a sweet and tranquil setting of a Christmas text by George Herbert. With an atmospheric accompaniment created by rippling arpeggio lines in the piano/harp and a simple instrumental countermelody it begins with a beautiful soprano solo before opening out into gentle choral harmonies.
