It opens with hand-over-hand arpeggiated minor triads going up and down the keyboard (with pedal) establishing the sinister mood ... and a full sound!It is full ofdynamic contrasts and ends with a large glissando to the highest note of the piano (the villain vanishes)! Teachers will find this solo perfect for students moving out of five-finger positions by way of crossing over of the thumb.
