This anthology comprises seventeen of Tallis's shorter choral pieces and is designed to provide church choirs and students with a practical and interesting cross-section of the composer's smaller-scale output. Some of these pieces are familiar some little known but all are freshly edited and revised and have texts that are suitable for general purpose litugical use. Includes practical editions of 11 motets with Latin texts 2 sacred partsongs and 4 anthems with English texts all with full critical apparatus.
