Shadings was commissioned for The American Composers Orchestra UnSafe series and premiered at Zankel-Carnegie Hall._x001A_In Laura Schwendinger's Shadings richly scored shimmering music ebbed and swirled in tandem with a series of enigmatic photographs projected above the orchestra.
