Domenico Scarlatti: Eleven Sonatas: Piano: Instrumental Album

Easier Piano Pieces 66-From Domenico Scarlatti's vast output of 555 harpsichord sonatas a number have been edited and published by the Associated Board. Thirty-two of the easier sonatas have been edited by Howard Ferguson and published in three volumes within the Easier Piano Pieces series and these have been edited for performance on the piano and include dynamics and marks of articulation. Fergusonâ s selection of sonatas seems to have been made on the basis of musical effectiveness and originality and there are wonderful pieces in each book. Piano Quarterly
