From The Four Seasons RV293 Op.8 No.3-Vivaldi's depiction of Autumn here transcribed for Flute by James Galway. The piece begins with the peasants dancing and singing their thanks for the good harvest. During the festivities one man drinks too much and become alittle wild but he soom falls into a deep sleep and peace and rest overtake all the joyous peasants. At dawn the hunter appears with his horn hound and gun. The prey appears and the chase is on. Fatigued and wounded the preyfalls and dies.
