Written as a symphony for unaccompanied voices George Lynn composed Sacred Symphony No. 1 in four movements (1958) of which Sing unto the Lord a New Song is the 3rd movement. Calling for SATB forces this work was commissioned by and dedicated to the Harding College A Capella Choir Kenneth Davis director. George Lynn conducted the Sacred Symphony premiere performance March 21 1959. For church high school community and college choirs. Medium difficulty.
