Exciting new addition to the Oboe repertoire. Driving rhythms and tuneful melodies make this piece a good middle programme work for any serious concert planner. From an American review by Brent Register: 'Overall 'Threesome for Two Players' is a technically accessible composition for the oboist. There are very few fast notes. The phrases are primarily short with ample rests and the range is obtainable by most intermediate students. The Piano part is not complicated and the ensemble between the Oboe and the Piano parts is not difficult. Of the three movements the allegro vivace may be the most satisfying'.
