Chant For Columbanus was composed by Irish pianist and conductor Barry Douglas. It is arranged for Quintet: Flute Violin Viola Cello and Piano and this item features the Score andParts. Having studied numerous instruments as a child and going on to study under impressive teachers Douglas went on to win some prestigious prizes for his playing perhaps most notably winninggold in the International Tchaikovsky Competition. After making a number of acclaimed recordings of his interpretations of other composers' work Douglas turned his own skilled hand to composition producing thisbrilliant work that was commissioned to mark the 400th anniversary of Bangor being granted a town charter.
