Missa Gaudeamus is a parody on the motet Jubilate Deo by Cristobal de Morales which dates from 1538 and celebrates the peace treaty signed between Francis I and Charles V.This edition for SSAATB voices is edited by Ivan moody 1992 and part of a series of short volumes each devoted to a single composer or appropriate group of composers thoroughly exploring the unlimited resources of Renaissance sacred polyphony.
