Yvette Guilbert (1865-1944) was primarily a French cabaret singer and actress of the Belle Epoque. Clearly a highly talented musician Guilbert also composed herself such as her 10 Songs based on writings by Paul de Kock. Guilbert's 10 Songs are highly romantic in nature with harmonisation by Madame de Faye Jozin. Each of the ten songs vary in characteristics.
