Bus Stop was written by the British songwriter Graham Gouldman (b. 1946) who later found fame as a Bassist and Vocalist with the Pop Rock group 10cc. It was written for the pop band TheHollies in 1966 who recorded and released it as a single in the same year reaching No.5 on the UK singles chart. It was also their first US top-ten hit.Bus Stop tells the story of two people who meetwhile waiting for the bus on a wet day and share an umbrella falling in love. It was supposedly part-written by Gouldman’s father who came up with the first line which was then expanded and finished on thebus.This classic song has been arranged for Piano Voice and Guitar.
