Pilgrim is a musical morality play in modern style based on John Bunyan’s Pilgrim’s Progress from which the narration is drawn. The works has a jazzy feel and has the right balance of challenge and accessibility for young singers.Twentieth century composer and musicologist Michael Hurd is widely known for his catchy popular cantatas and songs for school and young musicians drawing on jazz folksongs and popular works.
