There are several puns based on musical expressions as well as many witty plays on the word ‘Bach’. J S Bach has several speaking lines and some solo singing. There are very small speaking parts for two members of Bach’s family plus 16 or more other characters. Any number can be in the chorus who may sing all the songs if desired.
