Claude Debussy dedicated Children's Corner to his daughter Chou-Chou when she was three years old. Some of the movements were inspired by her toys. The six lovely pieces in this suite for solo Pianoare an excellent starting point for introducing Grade 5-6 Piano students to impressionism. The pieces are not intended to be played by children; rather they are meant to be evocative of childhood. A typical performance of the fullsuite lasts roughly 15 minutes.
