As music education progresses children begin to learn the Saxophone increasingly early often as young as eight years old. Méthode De Saxophone is intended for those young beginners for whom other methods are toocomplex advanced or difficult to understand. Being simple and versatile this method is also suitable for prospective saxophonists of any age. A CD featuring 52 minutes of Piano backing tracks is included with thisvolume. From the second week of study students will be developing close musical listening with a diverse repertoire of songs dances classical and romantic music from the past and present as well asimprovisational skills. The CD will especially help with this getting the student experience playing with another (recorded) musician from the beginning. The method will also introduce learning pieces by heart and varying theexercises in different ways with lower or higher octaves differing rhythms etc. A teacher can use their discretion to develop exercises further or repeat them or omit them altogether depending on thestudent's ability.
