Having studied under Hyacinthe Klosé at the Paris Conservatoire, Rose won many prizes at the institution and went on to teach many prolific clarinetists. The Fantaisie Et Rondo, extracted from Weber 's original Clarinet Quintet, and arranged for Clarinet and Piano by Rose has frequently been included in the set works list at the Paris Conservatoire.
