These performances were recorded during the 1930s and 1940s by some of the prominent artists of the time: Enrico Caruso, Tito Schipa, Giacomo Lauri Volpi, Beniamino Gigli, Aureliano Pertile, Hipolito Lazaro, Francesco Merli, Jussi Björling, Renato Zanelli. By listening of the CD, a younger singer can gain precious information concerning various technical aspects such as vocalproduction, breathing, musical phrasing, word interpretation, and can mature his own musical choices. The performances included on the CD were originally recorded on 78's.
