Par BOWMAN JENNIFER. Jazz Nocturnes were greatly influenced by both classical piano literature as well as traditional musicals and the Great American Songbook. Many of the chord progressions are modelled after those used in “The Real Book” but the structure of the pieces is modelled after after Chopin’s Nocturnes (with a few twists here and there!) Late intermediate level.
