Commissioned by Arts Trio, Acuarelas is an ensemble of pictures with an independent form and content that are closely related to the development of the sound processing. These pictures are not related each other, except the first and the last one. In both cases, it is represented two crucial moments of Perseus' myth, which iconography enhances the perfect balance of Cellini's sculpture. In Acuarelas the particular timbre ressources are put aside but not given up. The piece shows a special emphasis in transparencies and light and shades as used in watercolor painting. The contrast among the different numbers is based on concepts of the music discourse and doesn't make concession to side effects.
