Kenneth J. Alford, the composer of Colonel Bogey, The Mad Major, Army Of The Nile and many others, was perhaps Britain's best-known 20th Century composer of marches. This, one of his most popular, has been re scored for the modern concert band, and with a full score and standard instrumentation, it is now accessible by today's bands.
