A bilingual edition with full text in both Spanish and English. The 2-part, women/ men scoring creates added color in the mostly unison first section, but breaks into creative counterpoint on the final stanza. Lovelace's original tune has certain echoes of a Polish Christmas carol, and the center of the work is a contrasting text sung to holy manna. All in all, an interesting choral anthem of limited difficulty.
