A new, fresh, rhythmic setting of the Latin "Gloria in excelsis Deo" text. For a truly novel approach, add the percussion ensemble SoundPax, or use the SoundTrax CD which includes all the percussion parts. An exciting opening section gives way to a pensive slower section which opens with an optional treble voice solo ("Laudaumus te. Benedicimus te."). A return to the opening section builds to a climactic finish, capped by a descant on the final, powerful statement of the melody.
