This anthem weds a haunting, modal English folk song with an anonymous Middle English text familiar to many because of its inclusion in Britten's Ceremony of Carols. It can serve as an unique addition to Christmas concerts. The keyboard part might also be adapted for harp if desired. Parts for C and B-flat instrument included.
