Commissioned for the 1999 Papal mass in St. Louis. This setting may be used at any time outside the Lenten season. In its simplest form, it can be performed with only assembly, cantor, and keyboard. The optional instrumentation adds festivity to the composition. Seven different verses drawn from the Lectionary are provided, each focusing on some aspect of the Word of God. Reproducible refrain is included.
