Londonderry Air, also known as 'Danny Boy', is known throughout the world as an anthem of Irish identity. It was collected in County Derry in the 1850's and, though claims have been made as to its authorship, has always been attributed to 'anonymous.'This arrangement by J Stuart Archer, a British Organist, composer and arranger of the early 20th century, introduces the famous melody in the lower ranges before giving it full play above the harmonies.
