Christmas Carol Suite was composed in the style of the wonderful Many Moods of Christmas suites by Shaw and Bennett, with bright choral settings and colorful orchestration. O Come, All Ye Faithful is treated as a joyful mid-Eastern procession; Unto Us Is Born a Son is a set of variations ranging from chant to Sesame Street; Away In a Manger is an original melody in a minor key that brings out the text's melancholy side; and Angels We Have Heard On High is a rollicking Celtic 12/8 that invites leprechauns to come out and join the dance. Choirs and instrumentalists will find the writing challenging and rewarding. Audiences will rejoice in the spirit and joy of the music.
