Bora Bora is a suite in three connected movements depicting "the most beautiful island in the world." The first two movements, Otemantu (Tombstone Mountain) and Moana (Lagoon), portray the landscapes found on this paradise. The third movement, Nuna'a (The People), uses traditional sounds of Bora Boran chant and song to describe an evening gathering. A frenetic and sensual dance closes the work.
