For his fantasy for clarinet and piano, Domenico Mirco offers five themes from Vincenzo Bellini's tragedia lirica opera of 1833, Beatrice di Tenda. The fantasy travels through an Allegro introduction, a march-like initial theme followed by variations, multiple cadenzas, virtuosic passage work and a coda of original material. Mirco dedicated this operatic fantasy to his siblings.
