The rolling, restless rhythm of the patterned L.H. is in 6/8 meter in the key of E minor. The opening melody is contrasted with powerful R.H. chords in the middle section accompanied by surprising L.H. harmonic shifts. This commissioned work shows Cuéllar at his lyrical best.
