This tune was written by Oliver Nelson in 1961 and recorded for his Straight Ahead album with Eric Dolphy. John Fedchock crafted this big band arrangement of the melody in 1997 and recorded it for his album On the Edge. This chart features alto saxophone and trumpet playing the melody. Lengthy solo sections with exciting backgrounds are featured for both those players. This is another standout arrangement by Fedchock full of great sectional writing and sophisticated harmonies!
