The title of the first movement of the six, "That Kingsfold Tune," sets the tone for this suite, which exhibits a subtle humor as it puts the tune through various paces ("For the flute," "As a canon," "As a Chorale.") Registration as suggested requires only a very modest organ;the composer encourages you to explore your options. The movements can be played separately, or as interludes between sung hymn stanzas, or to replace them.
