These three exciting new postludes in fantasia style by Fr. Kevin Waters demonstrate considerable creativity. While the tunes are nowhere played in their entirety, phrases and snatches of the melody occur throughout the slightly polyphonic texture. The composer gives clear indication of manual changes and the music is of moderate difficulty - interesting enough to challenge the talented player, but not so complicated as to put off the organist of lesser skill. Fr. Waters has chosen hymns that are well-known in Catholic parishes: 1. Come, Holy Ghost [Lambillotte] / 2. Now Thank We All Our God [Nun danket alle Gott] / 3. Hail, Holy Queen [Salve Regina coelitum]. Any of these postludes would make an effective close to Mass, either after the particular hymn, are as an Organ Recessional in European style.
