Gong Xi Gong Xi is one of the most well-known and popular Chinese New Year songs today. It is heard in Chinese communities all around the world during the two week New Year celebration. Originally composed to celebrate the end of the second world war, it simply means "congratulations," making it appropriate for multi-cultural programming needs.
