Commissioned by James Rearick in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Trinity Luthern Church, State College PA, this partita of five movements is on the tune KIRKEN DEN ER ET GAMMELT HUS ("Built on the Rock.") Although a few of the movements are fairly short, nothing would prevent playing them separately. As a recital work or extended prelude, the music is creative, interesting, and effective. I.
