An emigrant himself, Solare was born in Argentina in 1966 and relocated to Germany in 1993. Even so, his 2015 commission Auswandern still hearkens back to the music of Argentina, with overtones of the tango peeking through. The three movements are Expectations, Looking Back, and Integration.
