This volume contains a selection of piano works with children's pieces and sonatas of intermediate difficulty.Reinecke's style, which is relatively conservative, is shaped by role models from the first Viennese school, such as Haydn and Mozart. Among his students were Max Bruch, Edvard Grieg and Leo Janacek. Despite his successes as a pianist, composer and educator, Carl Reinecke has met the fate of many great musicians and is now largely forgotten. This collection hopes to change that by presenting a cross-section of his piano music.
