The story of the Wise Men is retold in this unison (or optional 2-part) anthem, perfect for Christmas or Epiphany services. The middle-Eastern inspired sounds of the opening section in minor give way to the bridge section in major. The textual focus turns to each individual's response to the King of kings. A return to the minor mode concludes the piece with optional harmony. Parts for oboe, finger cymbals, and djembe add authentic color and sparkle.
